How do I set up My Web Services USA email account?

In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select Add a new e-mail account and click Next. On the Server Type window, select POP3 and click Next. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, in the Your Name field, type your first and last name. In the E-mail Address field, type your email address. In the User Name and Password fields, type your user name (your full email address) and password, and then specify whether you want Outlook to remember your password. In the Incoming mail server (POP3) field, type the name of your incoming server mail.wsusamail.net. In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, type smtpout.secureserver.net. Click More Settings. On the Internet E-mail Setting window, click Outgoing Server. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Specify whether Outlook should remember your password. Click the Advanced tab. In the Outgoing server (SMTP) field, change the port to 3535. Click OK. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, click Next. Click Finish.


How do I access my Web-Based Email account?

You can log on to your Web-Based Email account from your Web browser or Remote Device by going to this Web address: http://email.wsusamail.net.


What is the maximum attachment size I can send through my email account?

The maximum total message size for an email message sent using SMTP is 30MB. There is no constraint on the size of file attachments as long as the total message size does not exceed the 30MB limit..


How do I use the 256-bit Encryption*?

Web Services USA email customers have the option to encrypt their messages with rock-solid, 256-bit encryption. To take advantage of this industry-leading protection, simply select "Add Encryption" in the compose window, and then designate a password and hint. When the recipient enters the correct password based on the hint, the email content is displayed.
*Note: The Recipient must also use Web Services USA Web-based email.


Can I use your email account if I host my domain with another registrar?
Yes, but you will have to change your Zone records (MX and CName) with your registrar.
To Change Your Zone Records.
  1. Log on to your account at your domain registrar's Web site.
  2. Locate the Zone record for your domain.
  3. Replace the existing records with the following information:
    yourdomain.com – MX preference = 0, mail exchanger = smtp.secureserver.net
    yourdomain.com – MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mailstore1.secureserver.net

How do I add Virus Protection?

All of our email accounts include our state-of-the-art Virus Protection system and automatically block infected email message attachments that may damage your computer with destructive viruses. Virus scanning occurs every time our servers receive an incoming attachment. Virus Protection is in place for both Webmail and POP3 email clients so that any email messages that contain an infected attachment are automatically blocked.
